Findynet convenes its members through ecosystem and technology forums, works on the interoperability that arise as the eIDAS 2.0 takes effect, and supports organisations that want to issue and accept digital credentials. Its role is to make sure Finnish organisations move together rather than solving the same problems separately.

About Hovi

Hovi is an identity platform that lets organizations integrate effortlessly with EU Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallets and EU Business Wallets (EBWs). Its platform enables organizations to verify digital credentials from EUDI wallets, verify eIDs such as Finnish Trust Network (FTN) and Swedish BankID etc, and carry out document verification for KYC. It also allows businesses to receive digital credentials into business wallets and issue tamper-proof digital proofs that anyone can validate in seconds, anywhere, without integrating with the issuer.

What This Partnership Means

The EU Digital Identity Wallet is arriving in all 27 member states by the end of this year, on a fixed EU timetable. Finland aims to launch its own wallet in early next year. Every member state must offer one, and every large platform, financial institution, and public service will have to accept credentials presented from it. For most organisations, the question is no longer whether to support the wallet. It is whether they have the capability and they will be ready when their customers start using it.

This partnership puts that capability within reach for organisations in Finland. Findynet brings the ecosystem and the standards alignment. Hovi brings the technology platform infrastructure to issue and verify against them, already conformant with the relevant EU profiles, so members can adopt digital credentials without each building the technical layer from scratch.

The same infrastructure extends to organisational credentials. As EU business wallets take shape under eIDAS 2.0, a company will be able to prove its own identity and the authority of its representatives the same way a person proves theirs today, changing how onboarding, mandates, and licence checks work across the EU.

What is Next?

Hovi and Findynet will work with Finnish organisations on practical EU Digital Identity Use-cases, moving from standards conformance to live solutions. Enabling companies across Finland and EU to validate and execute their EUDI strategy as the eIDAS 2.0 framework takes shape.
